As a therapist, I prioritize building our therapeutic relationship on a foundation of trust, empathy, growth and healing. I lead with gentle curiosity and self-exploration, addressing potential barriers like fear, shame, or guilt. My goal is to help you better understand yourself in a non-judgmental way. My approach is sensitive and inclusive of all, you have permission to show up exactly as you are.
I have experience working with people of all ages struggling with a wide range of issues including depression, low self-esteem, body image, perfectionism. Anxiety and other anxiety disorders including OCD, Panic, Agoraphobia, Trauma and Body Repetitive Disorders such as Trichotillomania. Furthermore, I enjoy helping people better manage life transitions, change habits, or resolve relationship problems and family issues. My therapeutic ‘toolkit’ integrates a wide range of evidence-based practices, more importantly we will identify together what works best for you. I have a deep commitment to understanding and supporting you as a whole person. I like to provide clients with guidance and strategies to help nurture key aspects of your life that contribute to overall well being. I am passionate about incorporating mindfulness into daily life activities to assist with self-regulation and stress management.
I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker and received my Masters from Virginia Commonwealth University. My holistic approach draws from elements of psychology, biology and social work, allowing for a unique understanding of people. I appreciate the uniqueness of each client and am dedicated to collaborating on tailored solutions for your individual experience.
