Hi I am Danielle! I see therapy as a path to self-discovery where you can cultivate self-compassion, self-acceptance, and a flexible mindset. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for all individuals to understand their inner world more deeply. My approach is primarily rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, but I also integrate elements of relational-psychodynamic therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy in order to help you to reach your therapeutic goals. I have an open style and enjoy sharing concrete resources and skills in between sessions that can help to bolster your progress. I have particular experience working with college students who struggle with performance anxiety while navigating a world fixated on achievement.

I help people through transitional periods in their lives from struggles of disordered eating, anxiety, depression self-esteem, perfectionism, and body image. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with disordered eating and have conducted trainings on treating body image issues, bulimia, and binge-eating disorder through The Eating Disorder Center. In addition, I am knowledgeable and committed to evidence-based approaches in eating disorder treatment including cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and acceptance and commitment therapy strategies.

I am committed to social justice and the Health at Every Size movement, which fuels my passion for working with those struggling with disordered eating behaviors. I love working with young people and parents to support protection against eating disorders in the next generation.

I hold dual master’s degrees from Columbia University in New York City — an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and an Ed.M. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. In addition, I have a B.A with concentrations in Psychology and Human and Social Development from the University of Miami. I currently hold a provisional license and I am working towards receiving my license in mental health counseling (LMHC).
